Alex Pagulayan playing snooker NOW!

It was their last minute first attempt at streaming. The camera was on a very short tripod. and close to the table. The pool matches had the camera well away from the tables about 8 ft or more above the playing surface.

I found that the snooker matches stream that I happened to catch were unwatchable when viewed on the TV (a lot brighter than my computer screen).

One guy recording the final on Saturday had his camera beside the streaming camera but at least 3 feet higher using a full size tripod sitting on the commentator's table.

So there is actually a decent recording of the Open snooker final? I'd be interested in a copy if you could hook me up! I wouldn't be opposed to paying for some video of The Lion in action on the big table.

Don't know the cameraman.
Don't know what his product might look like, but they used it to replace the balls that scattered on a miss :D
Nothing shows up using google and youtube search

Nothing here either.

The senior championsip is there, but when I tried it, it was jerky, unwatchable.

I hope he plays in the World Amateur event anyway.

It's actually the world championship he's qualified for,

If I'm not mistaken, it's 3-5 rounds of single elimination prior to the TV Rounds

Perhaps someone could post the details of the initial rounds for 2012, I can't see him passing up this opportunity unless the schedule/logistics of the qualifying are too odd

Only players from the main tour compete in the World Professional Championships,

From snookerline.ca
"Alex has first right of refusal to represent Canada at this year's IBSF World Snooker Championships in Bahrain and I see no reason why we won't be able to cheer him on later in the year."

The WPBSA handles the professional game whereas IBSF handles the amateur game. If Alex wins the IBSF World Championship, then he will be qualified for the main tour.
