White diamond billiards super 9-ball october 8th & 9th,2011

Best auction yes.
Best $1000 ADDED tourney no.

They just keep getting better and better so I guess you're wrong. Last one paid out over 52k. 12 spots tourny, 12 spots auction

Greatest host in the world. Wow that's pretty strong to say. No change is needed obviously because they always have a great field.

Chris Miller is fair, fun and don't take no crap. WE like that.

My point is

:scratchhead::scratchhead::scratchhead:

My point is that if you have never been there all sounds good till you get there and find out they only pay 12 places out of 128. How many tourneys pay less than 10% of the field?
All good if you have a good chance to win.
But unfortunately there are probably 16 - 20 that have a chance to win that event out of the 128. Also as a room owner running there own event IMO should have a greens fee instead of having to pump in $60+ in quarters to fall 13th 1 out of the money.

This tourny is a shot at the BIG money. A shot at the big money is always a long one. Why not go on a Lottery forum and cry about the odds there? Quarters is the way to go in this type of format. It makes it FAIR to the players, as you only pay in proportion to how you do.

Please tell us what you see? NVMND....already know.

Ya i must be wrong there Truck, The tourney i must be thinking is the 10 ball tourney that didnt fare well. Don't mean you need to be an azz about it. And i don't play the lottery i play pool, so you'll be on that forum by yourself.

By the way that must be the prize that stone cold got for finishing in the top 32.

We've had over 100 EVERY TIME. At at least half the times I've gone it's been full with 10+ on the waiting list. And yes, I'm happy with top 32. I don't do this shit for a living. That's the whole point of playing any sport(to actually play). The better man doesn't always win. And to get a chance to play and possibly beat some of these guys is worth it to me. But maybe I'm playing the sport for the wrong reasons? Sounds to me like you don't want a challenge. Jmho

I go to try to improve myself with having the opportunity to play champions. And it's overall a good time. I get in action at every event as well.

No I made my money matching up with people. I'm usually a quiet guy, but you sir sound like one of those guys that changes weight after every set. What's the name.........mmmmmm.....oh yea....NIT.

You're right. Your comments gave everyone a chance to voice some of the reasons that this event is a great one.

Hope you get to make, if you think you can get there.

Mobile is coming up in August too! ;)

I can't go this time. Cruisin The Coast is that same weekend. But I may take off of work Monday and drive up there Sunday when we get back from Cruisin The Coast and stay the night to watch the end. Yea if I go and you have time I'll try to get my money back. :p

LMAO You cant be serious.
I may have even overstated the amount of people that can when that event.
Omg that statement you made is one of the most ridiculous i have ever heard.
You can't really believe that.
All im saying here is that i think the payouts should be listed so people that have not been there before would know before traveling so far, seeing how 99% of the tournys pay 25% of the field.
And yes i do have tourneys that payout similar odds on my money. Check out the Carom room Tourneys listed here in this forum.
They list the payout structure for there events so peps Know before showing up.
Plus they don't stick you with plugging the table $1 a game.
By they way just 1 hour down the road not 1100 miles.

Sounds like with all your *****ing you are one of those guys who people hate to have around a tournament. That being said this tournament has been successful without you and will continue to be without you. Do us a favor go find another thread to bash you are waisting your time here.

I'm sorry, but if your complaining about $60 in quarters than you shouldn't be traveling to play in ANY tournament IMO.
I won't say it's anyones game, but the chances are very very good for players like me to place. It's on Valleys with 860 and factory rails. I've come in the top 32 a few times and I can barely run one rack in a day.

Seriously, i'm really not complaining about the quarters (it was just an added thought) it's the payout i have a problem with and i think i am untitled to my opinion about that.
I can see why they have huge fields with the mind set of players like yourself that are happy taken 32nd a couple times in a tourney that pays 12 places. Would have been nice to get a little jelly for your finish like most events right? That's all i'm saying. I don't mind donating if i have a chance for a little something. And the way it looks theres more than enough to go around.

You have no chance so don't waste your time you gave up on yourself having a chance on page one. Stay home if Chris needs another player so you do not have to play I will stake a waitress in the place because she will have more confidence in herself than you have.

we had CJ Wiley Jeremy jones hillbilly jessie bowman rafeal martinez spelled it wrong btw lol sylver ochoa jerry slivka brandon shuff gary abood chip compton joey gray justin bergman i mean they don.t complain about anything

These guys are all champion players and all have a chance to win. Why would they complain.
All i'm saying is what about the players that feed that event, they know they have no chance to win but they still come. I feel if they do rather well for there ability they should be rewarded.
How well did the last event go? Was there even 64 players? The pond of fish might be drying up....jmho

You want to talk about players that feed it. You are bashing one of them talking about how can he be happy with making to the top 32. Also just so you know a guy named Morty who could get the 7 8 last four from Slivka , Double J, Bergman, Shuff, or Chip and Joey finished third. He went for the minimum 40 dollars in calcutta and made a hell of a pay day. Trust me was like a 4800 pay day. So how about that feeding? (do you like apples? How bout them apples?)

You play pool so well if you do show up to this tournament one thing is for sure you can get played. They have a thing in Louisiana called gamble and they will give you more than you can ask for. My horse will be the guy who will ask everyone in the building to play some soon as we pull in the park in lot. You have met him in this thread already so feel free to accept his offer.

Haha funny you say that Juice. First time I ever met DP he was walking around White Diamonds asking ANYONE to play. A person said no and he would just walk to the next.

Man as good as this guy is you wouldnt think he would complaining about having no chance. I would need at least the orange crush!

More important that any of this chatter, does the AIR CONDITIONING work well in White Diamonds? I can't take heat and humidity.

I wasn't bashing the thread or this tourney for all that matters. Been there done that awesome event i might add. I was just simply stating that i thought that a 128 player field should imo pay 25%. Oh ya the quarter thing to. Shame on me. I do have that right do i not? Guess not?

FYI was bashing him either for placing 32nd sorry thats the way you took it. Placing 32 in the event is good but what did he get $0.
And i guess, from what he said he is fine with that, but IMO i think he should have got a little something for he's good finish. Seeing how he says he can't run 2 racks in the same day.

Congrats to Morty sounds like he had a great tourney. Or he was just over looked in the calcutta $40 seems pretty cheap for this event. Maybe he should have went to a casino a doubled it up.

Where in this thread did i say how well i played? Oh ya thanks for outing by the way i appreciate it....You still wanna back the waitress?

It works very well. It's actually down right cold in there early on a Sunday morning. He's also got plenty of smoke eaters throughout the building.

First your whining about how you have no chance, then you get cocky?

And yea I'd rather back someone with heart.

And as far as the 32nd thing....I've placed under 32 a few times. Just can't quite make it to the next Calcutta. I was being sarcastic about the not beinb able to run 2 racks in a day. But im no ACS Champ. And for me, yes I'm happy with that. You know, it's not ALWAYS about the money. For me, this is a Hobby. Fortunately I make plenty of money in my career. So I can afford to go to tournaments like these and not stress about having to make money. But it's a nice experience. I'm sure you've been to Derby or some other event before? I went to The Super Billiard Expo this year knowing I was going to lose money.....but it was a great experience and helped my game.
