Breaking with an OB1?

Hey guys,

I have an OB1 shaft that I was thinking of using as a backup breaking shaft. It has kamui black medium tip on it. Would I need to replace the thinner cf pad to a thicker one like the OB Break shaft uses? I guess I am wondering if there are any reasons not to use an OB1 shaft for breaking? My max break speed is around 24mph give or take.

I don't know about OB1, but aren't most low deflection shafts drilled out near the end?

If it is, wouldn't be a good idea.

I've broke with my OB1 and it held up fine. I'm playing with an OB Classic now and I've seen the ferrules on those crumple under a break. But the guy that it happened too, Royce and Don made it right.
