Camera for mounting under light??

I am trying to figure out the best way to mount a video camera under the light on my table. I want a direct, birds-eye view of the table. My light can be raised to accommodate the camera to make sure I get the entire table.

I have a new Diamond light.

Any ideas??

Thanks

Peephole camera

Depends on the light you have. If you have a place to mount it, a peephole camera works. 170 degree will give you full birdseye view at typical height of light above table (I have it mounted in my Gold Crown light fixture).

not a bad idea, as you would need a fairly wide angle lens from the distance of the light to the table

Isn't there a lot of distortion with such a wide angle lens?

Can you post a still shot from the camera?

I have a wide angle lens on my video camera and I need 10 ft from floor to the lens in order to get the whole table, and there is a still a slight distortion. Actual ceiling is 10 ft 6 inches for the camera.

GoPro makes an affordable camera that will record in HD. I have one that I take offshore fishing. Not that u need it, but it comes in a waterproof housing that's removable.
