CARPOOL: Next Saturday's TriState Event

Anyone wanna setup a carpool for next Saturday's tristate stop at Port Richmond Billiards Club? With today's gas and tolls being jacked up faster than your cue ball stuck on a rail, I know an extra seat chipping in is always welcome.

I honestly think most players would appreciate a sticky thread like this every week for every region. What do you guys think?

Jeez, looks like I'm taking the iron horse followed by the glass tank on wheels to staten island...

I never go anywhere with other people and usually don't want anyone with me. I remember once taking a guy with me to a tournament and after I was playing a guy $30.00 9-ball. It gets to like midnight and this guy comes over like every ten minutes wanting to leave because he is tired. It got ridiculous after a while and the guy I was playing used it as an excuse to quit. I won like $180.00 and would have won like $300 to $600 if this jerk hadn't begged to come. I never made that mistake again. I would rather pay my own gas

I completely understand what you're saying. I'd want to avoid it, if I'd gone through that also. Me on the other hand have caught a lift, already with the understanding that someone else was doing me the favor. So I leave when he/she leaves. If they leave early, that's my lift, I'll either catch another one back, or have to leave then as well. No hard feelings, know what I mean? That sucks if someone tried to rush you in the middle of a game with you giving HIM the ride. But I can def see you avoiding it.

I'm just looking for a quick lift to the next tourney man, lol.
