Texas Open at Skinny Bob's Sept 2-4th

Cant wait for the stream!

Well, it is upon us at last. This is a great event and one with long history and a l ong list of great performers pat and present.
Each time I think of this event I am reminded fo Salt Lake City utah, back in the early 80"s.
I woke up and reading the morning paper, The Texas Open reads of Bob Vanover breaking and running the finals set. My wheels began to turn and the imagination took over. i couldn't wait to get to the Pool room and hit balls.
i tore that clipping from the paper and carried that in my bag for many, many months. i used it as a motivator.
now near 30 years later, I am going to be there in person and a part of it. It is truely an honor for me.
i hope all of you enjoy this weekend as I will and really hope you are all dragging ass as I will be when done.

Magic Rack

Lewis,

If you need anymore of the (Clear) Magic Racks I have plenty in stock, $10.00 for the 9 Ball & 10 Ball racks. The clear Magic Rack gives a tighter rack than the black Magic Racks.

Good Luck with the tournament, should be a great one.

George told me tonight at bananas that some kid from Arizona is playing real well. The kid is like 15 years old, etc. Who is he?

Who went for the most in the calcutta?

After looking at the finals bracket, it looks like Rob Saez beat Joey Gray 9=8.

Don't know who won the ladies.

I had such a blast at this event! It keeps getting better and better each year. I was watching one of the women's matches and all of a sudden an argument breaks out in one of the nearby tables. Louis was called over and I have to say...He really kept professional. I would have lost my cool very early. Hats off to ya man. You do a great job. I don't know if you ever hear it, but I'm sure if you do, it isn't enough. Look forward to the next one!!

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. The bad thing about arguments like that is nobody is listening and just being loud. He made his decision when he broke down and walked away. Everyone was so worried about the argument and at that point it just didn't matter.
The only one who got hurt was the one making all the noise and making the threats. just a classic example of childish behavior, but he never has to worry about that, every again.

The ladies was won by Melissa Little of Colorado. Ming got second.
having moved from Colorado to texas, I have known Melissa since she first stumbled into the pool room many years ago. She was so green and so anxious to learn and worked very hard on her game. Watching her play and conduct herself, I could only smile inside. She si a very sweet woman! I am very proud of here development.
