When I said "Payday" I want to be clear. We got paid for this case and the 22 cases ordered after it. Xiao Ting Pan did not get this case directly from us. Her sponsor, Fury Cues, had us make it according to the design collaboration between herself and their chief branding man Yo Chen. After the design was given to just about everyone but us Fury finally came back to us and asked us if we could and would do it. We said yes and built it.
This case features 8 genuine Swarovski crystals set securely into the leather in such a way that they cannot come out. It has some inverse tooling, a custom magnetic latch, inlaid flush pocket seams, double pocket compartments on the lower pocket, and a custom heart-shaped cavity in the lid with a heart-shaped piece of plexiglas where pictures or other small flat mementos can be kept. Pan Xiao Ting wanted it to put pictures of her best moments as a player to inspire herself when she is waiting for her turn.
This case was a lot of fun to figure out. I am proud of it mostly because it shows off just how good our team is getting. Sometimes I am too harsh as a taskmaster and I can make them feel like everyone else is "better" than we are. But then along comes a project like this where everyone else either turned it down outright when looking at the drawings or their attempts were pathetic. My staff steps up and outdoes themselves by applying the principles they have learned as the bedrock to build the customer's wishes on top of.
Pan Xiao Ting reported said she has been dreaming of this case for years. Although we just pretty much built it as designed with just a few tweaks here and there we are very happy to hear that Pan was pleased. And as a bonus she shared it with her 280,000 fans who follow her on Weibo, which is China's version of Twitter.

You are exactly who I was thinking of while we were developing this case. I have your file open right now and was thinking about whether you might be interested in what we did for Xiao Ting's case.
Very nice case, John! Like the satin gloss and colour of the admittedly girly interior/padding (but then, the case is for a girl, so…). :thumbup:
