May I ask something about my cue? [Possibly FS Mcdermott D-19 The Dice]

Hi all!

I was offline for a while, but now I'm on the road again.

I have a McDermott D-19 (the original, 15+ yrs), dead straight, in a very good overall condition. The only "problem" is that somebody changed the ferrule badly, there is a lil' space between the shaft and the ferrule (cca a half mm).

What do you think, can i sell it around 500 USD? (maybe more?)

Ty, have a nice day all!

Ferrules aren't hard to fix, I'd have a good repair guy do it first to alleviate any concerns customers might have. The dice cue was a very popular D model back in the day, $500 for one in absolute straight very good condition isn't out of the question, but I think you'd be hard pressed to ask for much more, especially in this economy.

In addition to the comments above, it is not uncommon for older McDermott's to develop a small gap between the bottom of the ferrule and the shaftwood. Might just be the shaft wood drying out over time and shrinking? I know alot of the older fiber ferrule material will swell as well.

It might be it, thanks!

I will take a some pics tonight, and upload it tomorrow.
