Yes. The real tournament wasn't filmed, apparently. The reenactment was done for a movie short shown in movie theaters.
Wow, that's amazing. Jimmy Caras was dressed exactly the way I was at the pool hall today, right down to the tie pattern.
I had a hunch the reaction would have been a tad different.

Back in my young days I went to an arcade and played some game called missle something or other and at 3:35 it brings back old memories when I hit one of the buttons and got a target it would look just like this design on the screen.
I just missed being able to see that on tv by a few years. We didn't have a tv back in those days.
