New Idea for a "SPECIAL" PPV forum.

I was just thinking about some of the trolls and jerks that sometimes like to get under other posters' skins. Also the haters could really let loose and not get spanked for their mean-spiritedness.

Maybe the owners of AZ Billiards should consider opening up another forum but make it a Pay Per View forum, maybe named VENT or somethings like that.

This would be a forum where you could use any language you like to tell off anyone you care to. It would be a free for all with no vulgarity and no low blow barred.

There would be TWO PRICES of participation.
The cheapest participationg would be just reading and it would be very economical, maybe $10 per month.
The posting part of it which would of course include reading as well and would be the more expensive one, maybe $30 for a month and reading privileges for a year.

Maybe there could be a notice put out in the Main Forum when new foul posts have been added to the PPV forum to spur readership and posting one-upsmanship opportunities.

Money-maker?
Bad Idea?
Good Idea?
Waste of ban width?

Prices too high, prices too low.

Oh yeah, if it flies, JoeyA gets free posting and readership for life.

(Been holding back and saving up for a long time).

I think $10 a month is pretty damn expensive just for a discussion forum. On one of the metal detecting forums to which I belong, the mods watch what goes on real careful and NONE of the nonsense which goes on here is allowed. Bans come fast and furious and I believe there is only a second chance and no third. After a first warning you get banned permanent for a second offense. You wouldn't believe the difference in the civility of the posters and and there are over 19,000 members. I'm not trying to be critical of the mods here, I don't know what or how many mods it takes to keep the peace but it sure works over there.

Why would AZ need to do it?

You're free to make a forum at any time you'd like. My guess would be that you don't want to make one because AZ has the numbers unlike the many offshoot forums where the numbers are much lower and the quality of content far less.

IMO, I wouldn't pay for such a forum, but with you and a few other people on here who are easily offended, it may be a better arena for you to get your ideas across to like minded individuals.

This forum does a fine job of policing the things which go on, if you have something you can't say here to someone, wait up till you see them in person and let er rip. There's no rules against that.

Actually, that's debatable. There are some people here who get nasty to just shy of being banned. I'm not sure they even get a warning. Lot of threads lately with a lot real hard feelings and I think that's putting it mildly.
