napa league now in memphis

today was my 2nd week playing in this league. i dont know all the rules yet but i really like the format.

to me it combines rules of bcapl and apa.

the bcapl part.
i like the call your pocket. the open after you break i am not used to but i can live with it.

the apa part.
its a race to your handicap. i like that a lot better than playing every one once. its more like a match up.

we play both 8 and 9 ball. matches are 6.00 and no table fees.

so far i like it more than apa or my money league i play in but i am not quitting them. just going to play all 3. just cant get enough playing pool. wish i could be good at it though.:smile:

any one else on here play napa.? would love to hear other opinions on this league.

i think it is too early to give you a clear and defined answer. i have only played 5 matches so far. there are only 5 teams and we play every other saturday with 1 team getting a bye plus i missed 2 matches because i was playing in the top gun tournaments those 2 weeks.

from the people that i have matched up with so far i think the handicaps are fair. i play on the lo s team and have known him since the old bca days , about 5 years now. he is starting another division soon for wed nights .

even though i really like the napa league so far i have no intention of abandoning apa. i enjoy playing on my apa teams. i play scotch doubles fri nights at high pockets , double jeapordy sun nights at high pockets, traveling 8 ball team tue nights. oh yeah and memphis pool league tue nights also.
