Their are a lot of super good players in ATL!!! List who you think play the best pool! One pocket, Nine ball, or Eight ball.... You may list for the whole state or just Atlanta, GA. Thank you.

There is no doubt, Johnny Archer. But, there are a lot of very good players in Georgia. About 18 months ago, I was working in Atlanta and was able to play at Johnny's pool room in Marietta, a place in Sandy Springs, down in Conyers, and even played Preacher Man at Mr. Cue II some one pocket.
Steven
Let me know. I played a lot at Mr CuesII, and Marietta Billiards club. The Pool Room too. You were stomping in my grounds. Lock N Load territory.

!
i second that
danny smith sure could b there
how can you pick a best?
take away the pros who live around here like johhny, sean, kim davenport (was at MBC w/johnny last time i checked). and the women pros like monica, helena, alice rim. after you get through all the pros then you get to the locals. some of the names you might know from tournament wins like paul song, josh roberts, and some wth great nicknames like groundhog and preacher. but there are guys whose names i am not going to mention 'cause i don't knock but there are real strong players you may have never heard of.
there's also some strong ametuer female players like betty sessions, amy chen (us ametuer winners) and quite a few others.
and like one poster said - mark gregory can set your table up and get paid, then empty your wallet.
god i suck. thinking about all these great players and thinking about the way i play i am embarassed to say i play here. but i thank everyone of the good players in atlanta. i didn't take this game seriously until i moved here in 07. and everyone of the very talented players i have met have either taught me something or had kind words for me - meaning at least they don't tell me to my face i suck:thumbup:
and lock when you mention the pool room, it still makes me sad that place is gone.

I stayed there and played there for years off and on. Ground Hog is my partner, and some of the rest of the good players around there. Jason, Jeff, and Jeff, Charlie, L D, Asian John, Arlo, Larry Nevell, S Mosley, Casey, Nate, Tator, Jimmy, Arlin, Grossman, Should I go on? And a host of others. John Hager! How have you been doing Jason?

- i say johnny archer. next tier down it gets real tough. there's just too many good players and they all play different games. 9 ball, 10 ball, one pocket. we even have a guy or two that can run the balls off pretty good in straight pool. and it all deplends on the night and how they match up.
