Need to buy a case

Ok after looking over the sterlings i am sold!

You can get a 4x8 with wheels for $127! I paid like double that for my instroke and it doesn't have wheels. And JB came up with the design for both insides!

I am honestly thinking about this one for my next one! spray the nylon down with some water replant and good to go!

One of those 'neat' little features with the JB interior in the Sterling Wave case is that you can actually turn the entire case upside down, and those cues aren't going anywhere, yet with one little upward shake of the case (in the upright position, of course) and they 'pop' up for easy access. There is plenty of room inside for longer cues as well as cues with joint protectors. The easily removable backpack straps distribute the weight evenly from shoulder to shoulder. There's a lot going on in these cases.

Porper is junk,120$ for a 3x6 butts only fit pin down, shafts get stuck, etc.
Tried to get JB make me a case once but he was too busy to answer.
Instroke is my choices.

ie barton,sterling wave,j.flowers tribute, and gtf
have to have the butts and shafts inserted like this???

Only the GTF cases, like the others of this type of case, require to be loaded in a certain order, due to the smaller footprint. (Pin up, tip down...butts go in first, then the shafts.)

I do believe that, like the Instroke, the others can be loaded either pin up, tip down...or pin down, tip up. I prefer pin up, tip down.

Actually the GTF cases can be loaded either way but they have to be done with the shafts and butts placed in opposing directions. The easy rule to remember is to keep the joints together.

He may have a waiting list, but his cases are fantastic. As much as i loved my Murnak though, the case John made for me just blew me away. You would not go wrong with either though.

This one which holds 2x4 is $64.

On John Barton's recommendation, I bought this exact case a year or so ago. With the custom insert he showed me how to make for my jump cue shaft, it fits my needs exactly and has met or exceeded every expectation.

You totally cannot beat the price and it truly protects the cues. I tend to buy quality and then keep it for years. I will probably be using this same case for the next twenty years. I'll pay more for that quality because it is worth it in the long run, but in this case it costs less than other cases that aren't nearly as good (in my opinion.)

That is too bad. I liked his creative tooling/carving on his soft envelope cases. I think the custom envelope case market could be bigger if it was marketed properly. What you give up in protection, you gain in light weight and possible flexibility of using it to carry other things besides cues.
