This is the cue. I bought this from Joe at Bama Cues on AZ Billiards. It came from Cory Barnharts personal collection.
When I bought it, the price was reasonable because there was a problem in the forearm and the cue was warped? I sent it to Jim Buss and had the cue refinished/restored, had to be done to fix the problem in the forearm, lost the Cortland linen wrap, replaced it with White with geen spec irish Linen. Cue looks great now is perfectly straight. Solid Micarta joint, nice ringwork, delrin Buttcap, original shaft. Still twists down on the pin as if it was new. $1150 shipped and insured. SOLD SOLD

I also have a 60's Brunswick tube style case I store it in, in mint condition, add $100 with the case.

And I have a Bob Dzuricky shaft, fits on this cue and my Gilbert perfectly, .840 at the joint, plain black collar, Ivory ferrule,
Talisman med, 12.8mm if I remember. Add $100 if bought with the Schrager, $135 shipped for the shaft alone.

I do not believe this is a conversion. In fact I am sure it is not.
Just an old and rare Bert Schrager Cue, unsigned. If you have concerns about it being a Schrager , send this link to Mr. Buss. He will confirm it.

Not really concerned with the authenticity.

Just that I heard Bert will not sign any cue that he did not built entirely.

Jim is the perfect choice to repair and restore this cue though.

Bert did not start putting his "By Schrager" logo on his cues until 1986.

I was curious about the hole in the end of the pin. I went and checked all my Schragers and only one of them has a pin just like yours. Its a simple 4 point sneaky. I am now really curious about that!!!

I sent a note to Mr Buss, he did not replace the pin during restoration. So I have to think this is the original Pin. The only other avenue I can think of would be to contact Cory Barnhart as this came from his collection at one time.
