Neither are pro level pool players. They are both pro level talkers and drinkers though!

Babcock is a hell of a pool player. I would definitely bet on him against a number of players. There are definitely stronger players out there but when he is on, he is super tough to beat. His bank game is very strong. I have played against him and seen him play quite a bit. I have not seen Fields play too much as he lived so far North (I used to live in Milwaukee). My understanding is Fields is not playing as much as he used to...however he is still damn good and one of the best in the State.

I know he likes to gamble. First time I met Dennis was 12 years ago and shooting in my first casino tournament. We were both sitting at the bar and I asked him if he shoots a lot of tournaments. He shook his head and said "Do you want to play some sets of 9 ball for $100". I wisely declined.

And I would say that was a very wise decision. You are absolutely right..the man does not play in a lot of tournaments and almost never plays in any tournaments outside of the area in which he lives. However, he will gamble against anyone.
