German Masters 2012

LOL, I'm not confusing anything with anything. I've run hundreds of "centuries" and I know an easy shot when I see it. I would say top pros leave it short on occasion because it's so easy they sometimes take it for granted (or, like most true Englishmen, they choke their brains out). Offer a top professional, say, 1000 "quid" if he can do it 1000 times in a row and see how long it takes before you find yourself scratching a broke ass. It won't be long, I promise.

Ahh, so you come on AZ and make absurd claims and meanwhile won't bet that water's wet. I'm shocked, just shocked I tell you.

I feel that the 'quality' of the roll-up has not been taken into account yet.
Many snooker players that roll up with chin on cue tend to drive the ball
a few inches.
To me, a successful roll-up is when you freeze the cue-ball or almost.

I'm pretty good at it 'cause I stand up on the shot and so do English
billiard players that are good at it.
On British cloth or even faster North American cloth that is well broken in,
I try to freeze whitey....and I can run a few 'nursery cannons' which
gives you the proper technique for this hit.

But I wouldn't bet on making 50 'quality' roll-ups' and I would bet against
even the great Walter Lindrum doing 100.

But I would bet on doing 1,000 'indifferent roll-ups'.

But as for whether a person gambles or not, I think opinions can be valid
from either camp.
The three great 'Davis' snooker players did not gamble...also Ralf Souquet
and Thorsten Homan, to name a few.
But ignore what they have to say about any form of billiards......
...at your peril.
