Shanelle Loraine vs. Borana Andoni "Battle of the Billiard Beauties" @Sandcastle ,NJ

sweet advertising two players who couldn't beat 1/2 the people in one of my cities local sunday tournaments. should be an awesome match... like boranas last one... race to 21 took like 9 -1/2 hours. it was some of the worst pool I have ever watched. I am assuming that no ones is gonna watch this for the pool? only way it could make sense.

9 hours ain't bad for a race to 21...they were playing 1-hole, right?

I guess it is Shanelle. Come on sweetheart I got Fiddy on you...Fiddy cent. J/k 50$ I'll take 3 games to eleven.

Borana beat OMGWTF a few years back in a race to 21, & I'd say OMGWTF's game is better than Shanelle's. I don't know what the race will be to, but if Borana doesn't at least double up Shanelle, the fix was in.

So play in flats!!!! (Isn't rule #1 be comfortable while you're shooting?!)

I was playing the sarcasm card. Who plays pool in heels?

Wimbledon Semis for Anna in 1997 and her #8 in the World ranking in 2000 would place classify as an extremely strong "average" player.

Kevin
My point is she never won a singles event but had more success at doubles but if it wasn't for her looks she would of been old news pretty quick.IMO Anna was an average singles player and Shanelle
is a average pool player at best but her looks compensates for her lack of skill.

But Anna was a legitimate world class players and deserved her ranking. She was unfortunate to not win a tournament. She had the game.

Freddie <~~~ no game

Anna won 16 WTA doubles titles including some grand slam titles. She was part of the No. 1 doubles team in the world!

She was a doubles player specialist which is a completely different game which requires lightning quick reflexes.

Nobody goes on and on how Scott Frost has never won a major nine ball tourney.

Winning several Grand Slam doubles titles, and reaching the semis at Wimbledon makes Anna a "world class" player, but I guess you could say she was average among world class tennis players.

I am thinking Shanelle is not world class in pool (world class in looks no doubt!)

Come to think of it, Luxury's avatar is world class in looks too :D

Sorry, this doen't interest me one bit. I see hot chicks at my hall all the time, and if I want to see bad pool, I'll go to the local pub and watch the drunks bang balls around...

to the top.

Frankly, I think it is a damn shame that an event like this can't be done with some of the female players who can actually play the game.

Don't be so haste. CW has been training and making World Champions out of nobody, like YuRam Cha, Allison Fisher& Erika Park.

I say he's got the eye and ability to mold champions from dust and since he's been working on Shanelle for so long, there must be something special in her he sees ;)

Sunny:

No offense, but I think Charlie's "claiming" credit for any success that Allison Fisher may've achieved, is, well, let's just say, "a stretch of the marketing imagination."

Yu Ram Cha? Yes. One needs to look no further than Charlie putting Yu Ram's picture as a "headliner" of last year's (and previous year's) 14.1 "headlined champions" posters (even though Yu Ram never made it past the initial round-robin stages).

But Allison Fisher? Sorry, I don't buy that one *at all*. Allison was a champion long before Charlie had any relationship whatsoever with Allison.

With that said, do I think Charlie is one of the people "most influential" in keeping pool alive, and specifically, certain pool disciplines (e.g. 14.1)? Yes, I tip my hat to the Korean Dragon.

I just draw the line at the "PacMan gobble-gobble-gobble" ingestive marketing.

I definitely see something special in Shanelle too, especially in some of the pictures in this thread. :groucho:

Where is Jazzy? She looks pretty good and could give them both the 7.

I don't think a comparison with Jasmine, playing-ability-wise, is fair to these two. Jasmine's a pro, on the pro circuit. Looks, however, are subjective and very much a personal preference.

-Sean <-- prefers brunettes / raven-haired beauties
