hercules hard tips..

For a wile i have been shooting with an ob1 and a kumi med blk tip. recently i started shooting with the schon shaft which has the hercules hard tip, and im shooting better ( i feel like i am) getting more control feels like a better hit as well. SO im just wondering on some opnions on this.. i konw the obs'1 and 314 take time to get use to but i have been shooting wih the ob1 for almost 6 months.
 
I had a hercules sent with an order as a complementary tip.
I replaced the phenolic ferrel on a break cue with a standard ferrel and the hercules hard, turned that break cue into a pretty nice player as well as a legal break cue.

Use what works for you, unless your more concerned with keeping up appearances.

i have no care in the world about appearances lol. i just thought it was funny, i love the way my ob1 playes but i feel better with the schon shaft..

Do you think its the tapper, diameter difference or both that makes you favor the schon? I like a long tapper but if it starts to go under 12.5 mm say 12 or 12.25mm its getting small for my taste.

it might be a little but i mostly play open bridge so i dont think it does that much. its mostly the hit i favor
 
I personally feel the OB1 is a great shaft if you are playing a touch game because of the soft feel and no matter what tip you put on the OB1 it will feel soft.Most guys I know that play a power game and hit the QB will more speed tend to stray away from this shaft.You might be liking the schon shaft more because it feels solid on all shots.The OB1 is a great shaft but takes awhile to perfect it.Goodluck
