New Player Table Advice

Greetings..

I contacted a local table service shop to get a quote on moving a Olhausen table I had found on Craigslist http://houston.craigslist.org/spo/3014550508.html

The table is in like new shape with all accessories and I worked him down to 1,700. He quoted me about 350 to move it because of the distance.

Before I sealed the deal though he wanted me to look at what he had for sale that he would move and setup for free with the purchase. The only table he had that caught my eye was a no brand name table in good condition with 1" slate. He agreed to throw in new accessories and felt on the deal for 1,800.

I am completely new to the hobby and have no idea what to look out for so I would appreciate some advice on this prospect. included below is a picture of the table.

Get the Olhausen!!!! That is a very good table. The table he is selling is a cheap import. There is nothing wrong with imports but that looks very cheap. $350 is very reasonable for moving and setting up.

Thank you for the quick reply. If I may ask, what makes the table cheap? Like I said I don't know what to look for and it seems this is a solid wood table that holds up some slate.

Personally, I like the style of it a little more than the Olhausen, but they are both nice.
