Just looking for some feedback with tips. I've used everest and lepro up til now and been ok with them, but I'm sure there has to be something better for me out there. Im looking for a responsive but easily maintained tip. Not too much mushrooming, etc. Layered vs. Non is not a big deal, just looking for something with a good feel. I have hit with kamuii and though i liked the hit seemed like an extremely hard tip ( was a med. Black). Thanks in advance for everyones responses.

I believe I speak for most in saying, do a Search for "Tip" Threads.. you'll have pages of feedback!!
That being said, if you don't mind one way or another here are some good options:
Non Layered:
-Triangle (Med/Hard hold shape/chalk very well, great price point!)
-Milk Duds (Several makers, take Elkmasters, soak and press them, and create some good playing tips, I have not tried them, but some really seem to enjoy them)
Layered:
-Kamui Black (go with SS, if you feel the Med is too hard.) I am using the "S" and it seems slightly harder then a Moori M IMO.
-Onyx - Haven't tried them.. Read some feedback on the forum.
-Black Heart - Again haven't tried them.. Read some feedback on the forum.
-Moori III - Med I really like these too, a bit more pricey.
-Everest - I really enjoyed these, also good price point!

I like Talisman Hard tips. Holds chalk well, needs almost no maintanence, good feel, long life.
Improvise, Adapt, and Overcome was mentioned in the Clint Eastwood Movie, HEARTBREAK RIDGE.
My take on Tips is if you have a Tip on your Cue that is Not Dried Out, or Too Short needing replacement. USE It, and spend your money on Table Time learning to PLAY POOL BETTER.
Go to any of the Pool Places that sell Tip like POOLDAWG, etc., and you will see as few as 20 offered, or more than 70 if you take in Soft, Medium,Hard, Extra Hard, etc.
Why so many Tip for sale. People have favorites, and the OLD LE PRO is the Tip you will get on a NEW Barry Szamboti, or Tescarella if you buy one new.
Why the LePro? They work, and the player skill makes em work better.
Or as they say it is not the Arrow, but the Indian shooting the Arrow.
If someone like a Pro is HYPING A TIP in some pool Magazine, the first question I would ask is the Pro using the XYZ Tip because they got it for FREE, or the Pro is getting ENDORSEMENT MONEY.
Like the Old Actor who is Hyping Liberty Medical on TV, because he is getting paid to do the commercial.
X2. Although I prefer the Talisman water buffallo hard tips. They seem to play a bit harder. Longevity is great and I chalk after every shot. I think I paid something like $6-7 per tip.
