Any of you guys from Alabama? Even better, around the Birmingham area?
Trying to find someone to shoot with a learn from. Maybe even someone for some lessons!

I'm 20. My dad and I use to play some but I got out of it. Just picked it up again about a month ago and don't know anyone around here that shoots much.

I live up in Huntsville. I just started back shooting, very seriously, this past year. I play a lot up here, but I don't know anyone that gives lessons. I haven't heard of anyone around our area either. We could get together and play some and bounce what we know off of each other. It could be wrong and it could be right. If you find anyone that gives lessons in our area let me know.
 
Im in the bham area and I know all the top players in the area and some guys that give lessons. Pm me n let me know. Iba is good to talk to but he's not around the area much

its been tough finding a place to shoot with me only being twenty.
ive been playing at poppa g's on 31 in pelham though. its about 35 minutes from my house (leeds) but its all i have found so far that they will let me in without being 21.

id love finding someone to get with and teach me some. id like finding a league to shoot in as well, but every time someone has asked me about it, they never have any details about it. kinda goofy haha

i too havent found many people giving lessons though. im hoping to find someone dropping around the poolhall sometime.
ive been able to go a couple times a week but its normally right after they open (around 4ish) and i only stay to around 7. leaves the room mostly to myself to learn, but getting back to the pace where i can play with people again
 
I would think you could play at Bumpers off of Lorna Road and Rocky Ridge. If you go on North on Lorna after Rocky Ridge and before 31, there's a billiards shop about 2/3 of the way on the left. The owner there is a great guy and big into the local APA. I bet he could hook you up with an instructor and help you hook up with a team if you're looking to do that. Tons of excellent pool players in the Birmingham area.

Bama Billiard Club in Tuscaloosa. All Diamond tables. Owned by Harold McAby. Just a simple pool room, no alcohol, non smoking. Great place to find some help. Mcfarland ave. Just past the skating rink.
