Day 4 Results

Strike 8. Out goes Judd Trump.

Trump - It's Time To Step Up :

It's time to step up right enough Judd,up all those stairs and into the next jet plane that's flying home to Blighty :

Trump Thumped By In-Form Milkins :

Robert Milkins was a 7/2 chance to beat Judd and I thought no chance and look what happened.Joe Perry V Ricky Walden was a strange match.Ricky was 4 frames to 0 up and in frame 5 he led 64-0.Next thing it's 4-4 and down to the final black.Ricky pots the black to go through.

Day 5 Results

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/snooker/18598657

Strike 9.Out goes Mark Selby.
Strike 10.Out goes Graeme Dott.

At this point if it was a game of cricket the umpire would pick up the bails and head for the pavilion but these matches were too early in the day for me.The fall of the favourites continued as the last 2 Quarter finals were :

Strike 11.Out goes Robert Milkins.
Strike 12.Out goes Mark Williams.

Mark Williams wore a brown colour glove on his bridge hand and Marcus Campbell wore a black glove on his bridge hand.Maybe they tossed a coin, heads or tails for the colour of gloves to wear but everytime they missed a pot I thought its the silly gloves that are distracting their line of vision. The latest betting has Stuart Bingham 5/4 favourite for the title :

A lot of strange results in this tournament so far.Ronnie O'Sullivan must be sitting with his feet up back home watching this tournament laughing away and thinking might just take off another few months just to let them catch up.:)

Looks like a Bingham Walden final - what odds would you have got on that?

I wonder if there's serious discontent amongst the senior pros? Maybe a breakaway on the cards? Who knows, but MJW wearing a GLOVE? Shocking.

Semi Finals

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/snooker/18658637

I missed Stuart Bingham V Mark Davis but from 4-0 down Mark Davis must have played well to win the next 5 frames.Next thing Stuart Bingham takes the last 2 frames to get to the final.Ricky Walden V Marcus Campbell and from what I seen Marcus never really turned up.I had to laugh when the commentators said Marcus was from Dumbarton as from what they say Dumbarton is a ghost town nowadays.Marcus would probably have said he was from Helensburgh,it sounds better.

Hopefully the gloves are off for the final.Nothing much between the players in the betting so the bookies must reckon it will be a close one :

May the best man win.:wink::):grin:

The Betting Zone tipped up Stuart Bingham @ 50/1 and right now I would settle for a quid E/W but it wasn't to be.Too easy to pick Stuart coming off a win in Asia and having some form.Ricky Walden must have been similar odds so to meet in the final the odds would have been huge.:)

The Final

So even the bookies got it wrong in the Final. If I remember correctly they had it chalked up Stuart Bingham 19/20 and Ricky Walden 42/41 on one website I looked at but the score said it all Ricky Walden 10 V 4 Stuart Bingham :

http://www.worldsnooker.com/page/NewsArticles/0,,13165~2828717,00.html

I missed the Stuart Bingham 147 fireworks display in Frame 6 and he joins Stephen Hendry and John Higgins in having a maximum break in a ranking event Final :

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/snooker/18665008

By the time I got the computer up and running and onto a link for the Final it was 7-1 to Ricky and I thought what, already.Time zones can be a right pain at times but the Wuxi Classic 2012 was full of twists and turns with the hard to believe results and some talking points worth a debate but well done and congratulations to Ricky Walden.:)

Wow Walden had even 9-1 against Bingham ? (With Stuart making his frame at 147-0 ) ! How was possible that ? sad i missed the final, anyone have a link where i can watch at least some frames ? thx
