Mark you missed a great event.
This place is top notch.

Efficient and friendly wait-staff.
Great equipment (new cloth, new rails and new balls).
Lots of food choices.
Lounge area is spacious and very comfortable.
The top level is also comfortable and accommodates the smokers so you don't have to leave if you want to puff...very clever.
Large-screen TVs everywhere.
Saturday night had a DJ and spacious dance floor with all the "trimmings"...

I really like this place...too bad I live 56 miles away, otherwise I would be a regular at both this place and First Break in Sterling. These Virginians know how to do it!

Ozzy ran a great event and kept everything moving as best he could. Not bad when you consider 75 players and 15 tables!

I was asked to spend a little time in the commentary chair so that was fun.

As I have stated before the APT is now the gold standard of mini tours
Every event is first class I know it beating a dead horse but I asked mike and jose if they had been to one to see why they are getting good turnouts they said no and scarffed at the idea. Saying it summer time and their was another event and that's why the had 28 well there were other events this weekend and OZ still pulled 75.
Humm 75 -28. The players have spoken too bad nodody is listening other than OZ

Actually there were 13 tables (1-6 and 9-15). Apparently, two tables (7 & 8) were removed at some point. So, 75 players with 13 tables was a challenge but we got it done. By keeping the races at 9 on the winners' side and 7 on the 1-loss side, we were forced to bring players back on the 2nd day who were not yet in the money. We have never done that before so I will try to ensure that doesn't happen again.

I have no problems returning on Sunday even if I am not in the money. Of course, I live within driving distance and did not have to pay for a room, but then again, I would not have minded either way.

There are benefits to not being a struggling pro...
