So inside the CC is the Action Room with 9 9' tables, a hallway for vendors, the main tournament room for the 7' events, and a smaller practice area with 7' tables.

My pleasure, dmyles. I tried to do it straight off the new iPad, but couldn't make it happen. So I had to wait to upload them to a computer.

Thanks for posting; looks like a pool player paradise ! :)

It's pretty cool, Houstoer The only problem with the "geographically separated areas" is that sometimes you have the feeling that you're always in the wrong place, when all the action is happening at the udder place.

At one of these events, how does one go about playing on the tables? Can anyone just walk up and put money in and play? Obviously you can't play on the tournament tables if you're not in the tournament. I've never been to an event and I've always wondered.

last weekend at this event there were several open tables where any one could practice on. there were 2 seperate rooms that were not being used much. i have heard at most events there were not enough tables to play on.

i think last weekend the open tables were due to a lower turnout than expected.

i dont think that will be the case when the apa league starts this weekend. i think there will be a lot more people there than last weekend.

last weekend there were still rooms available at the veranda, where i stayed. dumbass me failed to reserve a room there for this weekend and i was lucky to get one across the street at harrahs.

Usually, until around midnight, the tournament tables are for the tournament and for guys in the tournament to practice. After that they usually switch them over to coin-op mode and anyone can play for $10 and hour. Over in The Action Room they're always in coin-op mode and anyone can play anytime.
