LIVE STREAM TALK: Predator World 14.1 Tournament

Schmidt beat Rocha 100 - 14, with runs of 71 and 31 and out (John lost two points to fouls).

Dechaine over Immonen 100 - 80, in another 100 & out performance:

- MD: opening safety
- MI: made a good, long cut shot to start a run of 80, then missed
- MD: ran 100 and out

Fact#1: I've now watched 11 of the streamed matches. They have produced 12 runs of 50 or more balls, including 3 runs of 100 and out.

Fact #2: The WPA equipment standard for the mouth of the corner pocket is that it be from 4.5" to 4.625". Of course, DP does not have to abide by WPA standards.

Request: Would someone on site please measure the corner pocket mouth on the streamed table (and the other tables in the room) and let us know the dimension. [One of the commentators said 5", but he has been wrong about so many things that I'm reluctant to just accept what he says.]

Question: Do you prefer fairly easy or fairly tight tables for a 14.1 "world" championship? Is the table being used for streaming too easy? How about the other tables in the room? What do you think?

Fairly easy, it's 14.1

Archer over Strickland 150 - 74. High run of 74 by Archer in his first inning.

Earl yapped petulantly throughout much of the match, for unknown reason(s).

re

i mean for $15 per day, the least they can do is keep us up to date properly lol

there should be a chat room too...

so the next scheduled tv match is supposed to be 7pm, but now looking likely to be nearer 9pm if they are still behind.

They may be OK time wise. I think the Efren/Shuff match was played on another table. The HOF banquet is at dinner time today, so the next streamed match may not be until after that.

Completely agree – this is pretty lame compared to past years. Really a disappointment. I expected a lot more after attending each one in person in the prior years. Doesn't seem well organized at all.

It appears they have spared every expense on this one-including and especially the onsite maintenance of the mens room. Guh-ross!

Does anybody need a tissue?

I'll try to check the stream out tonight while I am playing at Red Shoes. I will need something to inspire my play.

We are going to ustream our match. If you get tired of the professionals, you can watch us miss for a little while.

I am recording it just in case Ed Latimer gets a good run or if I get a fair one. I have a yearly bet with elvicash for a steak dinner on high recorded run, and you never know when one might hit.

I enjoyed watching your match. It seemed pretty close. What time on Wednesday nights do you start streaming so I can set a reminder.

Thanks,
Jim

Cohen over Shuff 150 - 63.

This match featured runs of 55 and 32 by Cohen -- and 40 by Shuff -- but both player made quite a few major mistakes.

John Schmidt beat. M. Eberle: 200 - 46.

The game featured runs of 94, 50, and 43 by John, but he also had some surprising misses. They had a couple exchanges of intentional fouls and safeties, with Max taking 3 fouls in a row at one point.

Jim: Usually around 7 p.m. Work in progress. Pretty clear pic and you probably heard me swear when I missed several break shots.

Dennis

By the way, Mika and Reyes coming up soon on the live stream.
