Event #12 of the 2011-2012 Action Pool Tour session will be held at VIP Billiards in Catonsville, MD on the weekend of August 11-12, 2012! Our last event attracted an unbelievable summertime crowd of 75 players and we are looking to keep the momentum going!

10-Ball, race to 8/6 (based on size of field)
True double elimination
Alternate break
Rack your own (Magic Ball Racks provided for use)
Played on 9-ft tables
Players must be present before 12:00 noon!
Approx. 1/4 of field paid

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Referral Bonus
For every new player that you refer, you and the new player will receive $10 off the entry fees! For example, if your entry fee in normally $50 and you bring two new players to the tournament, you will pay just $30 and they will both get $10 off of their entry fees. If you refer 5 friends, you will be playing for free! Parties must sign-in together.

Female Player Incentive
A $125 cash prize will be awarded to highest placing female player if two or more females participate. If two or more females finish in the same round, there will be a playoff for the prize (race to 3).

Progressive Break & Run Contest
No balls were pocketed at the last event so the total purse plus the tickets sold at that event progressively rolls over to this event. The total payout will be $230 per ball! Not bad for $1 per ticket!

Lambros Cues has long been one of the most preferred custom cues on the planet and The Action Pool Tour is honored to have it as a sponsor. With this sponsorship comes two very exciting bonuses for the 2011-2012 session:

Commentary

Don't forget that we have added live commentary to our stream! At the last event, players had a great time in the commentary booth between matches so we encourage you to come out and do the same!
 
Event Start Time Changes

As you may or may not be aware, we usually post a start time of 12:00 noon for our events. However, there are always numerous people who get stuck in traffic or just routinely arrive late. We have always accommodated such instances so the size of the field and the subsequent payouts will be better for everyone. In the last event, we had an outstanding field of 75 players with a number of them arriving late. Because of this, we were late starting the players auction and the first round of play. Because we were late starting, we were also late finishing. However, we have made a change that will allow us to be more efficient and timely in starting our events.

Normally, after the players auction we enter in all the necessary byes on the tournament bracket and then do an electronic random draw. We then write the names in the bracket and call the first set of matches. This process takes approximately 30-45 minutes. However, we have made changes to our software that will do all of this automatically. This means that once the players auction is completed, the first set of matches will be called immediately.

Although we will still attempt to accommodate late arrivals, I strongly urge anyone who expects to arrive later than 12:00 noon to sign-up AND pay their entry fee online prior to 12:00 noon on tournament day.

I wanted to inform everyone of this change because some people may begin to expect a spot in the tournament even if they show up as late as 1:30pm. We will be starting our events sooner from now on so please pay online prior to 12:00 noon if you expect to be late. Female Player Bonus

Thanks to VIP Billiards, who offered to contribute an additional $50 to our female player bonus. That means that the top female player will win a minimum of $125! If we get a good field of ladies, we will increase that prize even more!

iPad support

Ozzy Ozzie Ozzie....IPad was supported when the stream was free, now even if I want to pay, I can't since my device is not supported.

As Chris Carter would say from ESPN..."come on man!"
