Dream Pool Room

Awesome room, but the tables definitely need table lights! As far Room of the Year - I have to go with Dsorianos room, as he built his from the ground up himself and on a budget!

Still it must be nice to be a 1%er and be able to pay someone to build your dream room!

These people are by no means 1%er's. Both have worked hard all their lives and are now in a position to be able to build themselves something like this. Their intent was to build it as much for entertaining all of their friends as for their own use. There is a separate entrance (and alarm system) to the room for closest friends to use the room as they please. It is on the opposite side of the house to all the bedrooms, smart move. Two of the least selfish people I know .

They are both excellent players (he is world class) love the game and have done a lot to promote it in our area. They are well known in the pool community but I will choose to keep their names anonymous for now.

Cheers and I will post more pics as the room gets closer to completion.

Awesome, good for them. Looks very nice.

Looked into doing something like this myself last summer (but only two tables, not three) but the cost of adding on the space was prohibitive for my very meager budget and just finding a larger home would be a better alternative. Anyway, the contractor said, "You're not wanting to put on a room addition, you want to add on a whole new house". Nothing wrong with having a dream. Glad they could realize theirs...

Peace.

Some good looking pro tables would have been a nice touch since money obviously wasn't at issue. That room looks like a corner at the BCA nationals. Those tables play nice but sure are ugly mother fathers.

"Some good looking pro tables"? Hopefully, you were just kidding. What, exactly, are "good looking pro tables"? I think this room, and the tables, are pretty amazing...

I wonder if he missed the part in my original post about the one table being the 2011 Mosconi Cup table and the other being the 2012 US Open 10 ball/One Pocket tv table. Doesn't sound to me like they could be ANY more "professional".
