Balance point and deflection/squirt

I recently got a new butt and the balance point has changed to where I naturally grip compared to before the balance point was 4 inches infront of my grip.

Normally when shooting with English my aim has always been natural and I'd just get down into my stance without thinking about deflection. On long shots with English my success rate would be around 70-80% and trying this with the new butt it dropped significantly. So I've been using the pivot technique for shots with English and my success rate has risen!

So my question is, does a cues balance point (eg closer to the joint or butt) make a difference on deflection or has the pivot technique made me more accurate?

Either way I can see instant improvements and its going to take my game to the next level.

Thanks.

Sure it makes difference, the further from the joint the larger the pivot. Also it could be that your bridge hand changed position got closet to tip which cause more CB deflection
In pool you have to think about everything that effects a shot before you go down other wise a miss is eminent. Especially deflection.

Also changing butt holding position changes stroke delivery, ensure you have straight stroke
