My guess would be,that using Ebony would make the balance totally
different plus Birdeye and Purpleheart are 2 of the best playing woods
when put together.
To me you got the best of both worlds with this cue,the ebony look
but the tone of Purpleheart.Real nice!!!

see this is what i was talking about when i asked for an example of your work in the other thread you posted awhile ago.. VERY NICE!

best of luck with your sale!

Thanks, could'nt have put it better myself. Thanks to you to Chris.

It is a great looking cue, and I think for the price point, it should be gone by now. However, maybe I'm just weird about it, but I think that purpleheart is so unique and rare, that it deserves to be complimented and not covered up or hidden. I've never personally owned a purpleheart cue, so I've no idea how they hit and feel.

Thanks for the compliment, and it has been sold. I hear what you're saying about wood being better off unstained, and in it's natural form, and would agree with you, in most cases. I only wanted black, and white in this cue, and in this case, i'm sure i made the right decision. There are a couple ways i could've achieved the same look, a cored ebony handle, or a black leather wrap. One would've made the cue not wrapless:frown:, and the other would have changed the weight, and balance:frown:

I do recommend trying a purpleheart cue out sometime, they make great players. Great feel, and tone. Many other woods are cored with it, for that reason.

Beauty of a cue....

I'd have to agree with you!

Purpleheart & BEM are great playing pieces of wood and, the design on this cue is tops!!!
