White diamond billiards super 9-ball

At this weekend's Big Easy 9 ball classic, I played my average game and it just wasn't good enough.

I barely win my first match against Vernon 7-5 (the BreakRak stroke analysis guy), then get beat 7-1 by Jamie Farell and then take another beating at the hands of Kid Carl with me losing to him 7-6.

I guess that says it all. :( With the way I am playing, I may not even show up for the White Diamonds tournament. This game is just plain tough.
 
hello everyone!!!! just a quick update for the nov 3rd and 4th super 9-ball event----16 spots left and then we start the alternate list----so if you have not called in and secured your spot, i suggest you do so ASAP!!!

My friend, just today, signed up a group of 4 (including myself). Looks like they'll be down to 12 spots or less.

I've been away from the pool scene for 15 years, until April 2011. So, not sure what I've got myself into at this place.

I did play in Tunica and it was a great experience. Hoping this does as well.

Any suggestions for hotels close (and clean) to the event?

Justin,
YOu might consider priceline.com and name your own price. Choose Lafayette and 3 star hotel. You can bid pretty low and if you don't get the bid, just keep raising it each time they allow it.

Do not stay at Mike's Motel which is the closest lodging to the tournament location. Supposedly, the new owner is working on improving the place but the last report from Gene wasn't too good.

Thanks for the advice, JoeyA. I'm going to get with the other 3 in my group and see how we want to approach the accommodations thing. Priceline IS a good idea. Haven't tried that thing in years.

I think we missed each other in Tunica. Hopefully we can drink a beer in Louisiana together.

Looking forward to seeing you in Lafayette and a beer sounds good. Just make sure to remind me about this thread. I tend to forget names as soon as I read them. Screen names? Forgetaboutit. But I don't forget a good game of pool so bring that too. :smile:

Bonus Ball got delayed a few weeks. I wonder if a few of the players grabbed last minute spots in this. Hopefully
