Breaks: Different from 9 footers to bar boxes?

I found all the talk about Shanes recent US Open win, and how he had figured out the rack/break to work towards his advantage and all. I've always wondered if the same adjustments you might make with your break on the big tables would also apply on the bar boxes with similar results. For example: Adjustments to ball placement, hitting the rack square VS a cut break, how you play a wing ball or how you'd play for the one in the side..............Same with a bar box?

Because the table is smaller and the balls are the same size the angles are different on a 7 footer. In 9 ball the wing ball will go lower on a barbox with a perfectly tight rack. To compensate I break closer to the center.

I like to break from the first diamond with a little hop to get the 1 ball close to the opposite corner. I've seen a lot of top players that still break from the side on a barbox in 9 ball and have good success.

Correct. But if you take the geometrical patern of the 9-foot table that works for your break, and transpose a 8-foot or 7-foot table on top; the geometry of the break will be the same, while the the position of the rack and CB will have necessarily changed. {Balls remain the same size, table shrinks}
