Time for a West Coast Open?

Since a LA Open was mentioned , I've always thought San Jose would be a good venue for a top open event. The airport is minutes from downtown where the convention center is located in addition to hotels nearby for out of town convention goers and some really good eats.

It seems all the good paying events are all back east. it would be nice to have one on the west coast at some point.

California Billiard Club in Mountain View has been holding a big tournament for a few years now called the West Coast Challenge, 4k added for one pocket and 10k added for 10ball, which have been sanctioned qualifies for the US 1P and 10bal tournaments respectively.

it would be great to see that get bigger since that is my home room.

I know Hard Times has their larger tournament at roughly the same time for what is considered the "West Coast Swing".
