Gold crown pockets

i have a gc 2
still deciding to send the rails to mark or not
if i do he mentioned i could change the original pockets for a gc4 pocket
i beleive he said they are more flush with the rail and dont stick up as much
im not quoting him because at my age your memory is not so good..:embarrassed2:
my gc2 has a ball return that works well for the year and a half ive owned the table
if i go to the expence of extending the rails to do away with the shims
should i also go for the gc4 pocket??
pros /cons
your advice appreciated
this is my home table that i wish to play as close to perfect as possible
thanks

The GC4 pockets have nothing to do with the play of the table....they just sit lower on top of the castings.
The rails and the sizing of the pockets determine the play of the table.
The GC4 pockets look better...but if your happy with the pockets you have...stay with them.

Send the rails to mark, you won't be disappointed. I am happy with the suggestionthat mark gave me regarding the GC4 pockets. They make it much smoother to shoot over the pockets

I've done my share of second guessing the advice given by Mark and Glen, and I all can say is trust them to the fullest. They won't make a suggestion if it wouldn't make a difference in the playability of the table. So even though there may be a greater expense, I'm sure you'll be happier with the finished product. Good luck!
