A very Happy New Year to you and yours.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I recieved this cue today and it was not what I expected
It was 10 times better than what I was expecting. This cue is really, really good. Those of you that know me know that i can be really anal about details. So lets start with the points . They are long and extreamly even They are also extreamly even on the inside as each veneer comes to a point and there are no signs of what I call tear out or when you see the inner wood point bent or torn at the tip . These points are perfect IMO.
The inlays are incredibly tight . Inlaid straight and not canted every one is perfectly symetical both in form and in the layout pattern.
The Ivory joint and Hoppe ring have some beautiful grain and color.
The Elephant wrap is a great color and installation is seamless to the naked eye from 24 inchs away.
The finish is deep , glossy and smooth . No signs of dirt dust or fish eyes.
The shafts have a really nice finish on them. I can honestly say the only ones that I have felt that may have been slicker brand new were Richard Harris's. They also have some great ring count and nice tone when bounced.
Well that about sums it up for me until I get some time to actually play some with this cue.
