You didn't, but he meant to insult you.

Well, they/you would lose that $1K bet because after watching your DVD I did try *many* racks of 14.1 and couldn't begin to make it work.

I'm relatively new to this discussion but I'll offer up an analogy. Tiger Woods has revamped his game several times & he is aware that it takes time to truely improve & that his game will regress in the short term until the time has been put in to recieve the benefits that are forth coming.
Perhaps, & I certainly can not & do not purport to speak for Mr. Lou, but perhaps he did not see any initial benefit over what he is using & is not willing to have his game regress for what he feels might not be an actual benefit for him.
I am going through a similiar thing with TOI. I am intrigued by CTE and will eventually get around to pursue giving it a fair try.
Mr. Lou is not enamered with CTE to the extent as others but is entitled to express his opinion. It does not seem to me he is telling anyone to not try it. He is just expressing his disappointment with it. The adult AZB readership are not babies in need of baby sitting & will make up their own minds as to whether to give his opinion more or less weight compared to those that are enamered with CTE. One size does not fit all. If one is in search of help they are more willing to have an open mind regarding 'help'. The readership will be the determining factor as to the success of CTE where AZB is concerned.
Just my $0.02.
You would think he would atleast put an effort in, wouldnya?

I personally would like to hear of one gap or flaw that cte/pro1 has. I keep hearing about that from the same people but no one has actually said what they are? By the way, someone’s inability to learn the system is not a system flaw but a user flaw. In addition, someone’s inability to figure what alignment to shoot is not a system flaw but a user flaw.
Now I will call out dr dave, Lou f, lou f’s attorney friend, Pj, scott lee, etc and please post a gap or flaw in the system? and not a user flaw.
added; Now just because you may know the alignments/pivots on paper that does not mean you know the system. Your knowledge ends on that piece of paper.
Here's some info for ya Lou!!
The CTEL is the line through the center of the cue ball
to either edge of object ball! It is on the DVD
The bridge and pivot point are co-located! It's on the DVD
The alignment or reference lines get you aligned correctly
for finding the bridgepoint! Also on the DVD
Pivot 1/2 tip from left or right to center cue ball! Also on the DVD
Ball drops in the pocket! Also on DVD

Well they are nowhere near your level but I am sure they are decent players and can put at least a couple of racks together. They do not claim to be anything they are not. They are very , very knowledgeable about pool and do not get into physics debate with them on here about pool unless you really know your stuff lol. Lou is fair game though and pretty much a keyboard warrior and seems to have a dislike for Stan or pro1 or any pro that comes on here and starts giving out advice in a “way” he is not comfortable with. He tried giving CJ willey a hard time also but cj brushed him aside pretty easily.
Scott lee is a well known instructor on here and a lot of people say he is a very good one also.
well these guys need Pro One themselves so they can advance theyre students with best aiming information available.
Let me give you the short version.
Most of the guys who are for or against aiming systems on the forums are bangers compared to the pros. Decent amateurs who love the game.
The anti-system crowd asked the for-system crowd for years to show them some pros who use systems - when we did they dismissed that evidence.
Then they said well what well known instructors teach them and we gave them those names and that evidence was dismissed.
Now we have pros such as yourself and others openly admitting to using aiming systems, endorsing and teaching them and still that's not good enough for the anti-aiming system crowd.
Welcome to the Forums Stevie. Where everyone has a voice and every voice thinks that their opinion OUGHT to carry the same weight. On a forum a banger can match any pro word-for-word until the pro gives up and leaves.
The trick is to be cool and stay on message without going head-to-head in the insult department. Just keep repeating your message and answering the sincere questions.
There are many many many people reading who really do want to learn about CTE/ProOne. Unfortunately we allow the thorns get in the way and pay them much more attention than they deserve. Always remember that the audience is far larger than the few hecklers you have to deal with.
They can't stop this information from getting out there and they can't stop people from learning it. You know it's the nuts, I know it's the nuts, and many many others know it's the dead nuts. What do you do when you have the nuts? You snap it off and send them home busted.
These guys who can't hold a candle to you on the table....this is all they have Stevie. Think about it, after a lifetime of playing pool all they have is the knock. No real skill other than slightly above average. No real desire to get much better than they are. Just the knock. They play that game at a world class level and being able to do it on a forum is like an adrenaline shot to the ego for them.
But knockers knock and players play. We are players, we get on the table and get it done while railbirds chirp about what we are doing. So there you go player. Keep the message strong and don't let the nits put you on tilt.
