Just an fyi for anyone out there that missed Tar day 1 match....

You can still order and catch the loop throughout the night... Score at this moment is 19-8... They are on break and mike is crying atm about it being a "break contest"

Shane has 12 bnrs... Mike doesn't run out til he puts two together when svb is on hill... Svb puts together a 4 and a couple 3's. Imo, mike was very fortunate to keep the set that close.... He never really settled in til it was over... His body language and demeanor was very poor throughout the set... A couple big swings from svb 10-2 to 11-8 mike breaking to 19-8... Final score was 27-17...

It really is quite the treat to see svb hit that uber gear again... You can really see the change in his tempo when he opens it up... It's alot like watching a young earl... Link to stats below...

Justin if you see this, I can't stress enough the importance of solid commentary... Hearing JJ in the booth is worth the price of admission alone... Any combo of Billy, Grady, Buddy in early accustats is the only comparable booth work that I can recall... Jones is loaded with pool knowledge and has very little trouble guiding us through the motions... I had to watch the live match on mute with other family stuff going on... Now viewing loop with audio... Wow, what a difference... I must also add that Cotton makes for a good, solid partner... He adds some good stories and questions jj thoughts when needed... Without either one stepping on the other's toes...

Thanks again Justin and TAR... :D

Please try to hold on to the JJ/Cotton combo... Really completes the TAR experience...

Just now watched my first loop as i didn't catch it live, and The loop cut out on me at 11-6 When Mike took a break and it started back at 13-8. FYI.

Playin4dinner, I hesitantly clicked on your link - not knowing/trusting for sure - and ... oh my G... Those stats 'bout gave me wood. :shocked2: SVB 44% BNR? That's insane!

Some of the stat categories I just saw (before 1st cup o jo Sat morn) I didn't immediately wrap my mind around . I'd like to encourage discussion as to WTF these mean and how relevant the stat is!

BTW, your OP - that seems a fairly uncensored, straight-up wrap-up of the match. What an awesome display by SVB! Come on Mike, bring us hi-lite reels thru Sunday!!!

I was discussing this match with a friend of mine and we concluded it was not really a match but instead a mismatch the only way Mike keeps this close is if Shane goes to sleep I would much rather pat for something that at least looks competitive

You hit the nail on the head on the commentary!! I will also agree the only comparison would be the awesome team of Grady and Billy. The way JJ desribes what's going on at the table on any given shot is like a free pool lesson!! He give's you the different options but also what he believe's the best one is. His knowledge of the game is incredible!! Jeremy Jone's really knows pool and it just makes it so enjoyable with someone as great as him in the booth. Robert adds a nice flavor and JJ doesn't let him stray too far from the game, but a little story here and there is fun too. Thanks Justin and TAR for this extra added bonus, it is certainly appreciated!!!
