New break cue

Had one with the one piece phenolic tip and caved the top in from breaking. Switched the tip and the guy I sold it to has never had any problems with it.
You got a different tip so it should be ok. Overall it's a great cue for the money.

Yeh I saw a bunch for sale with the phenolic ferrule/tip combo but never heard anything good about that setup,more so recently with talk of phenolics being banned equipment.
I think they lifted the ban. Not sure.
I used tolike the tip and ferrule one piece for breaking and jumping, but recently I have been a fan of breaking with leather. That Samsara tip you got is leather but just too hard for me. I used a Kamui Black Hard for breaking. I had a dedicated jump cue made by the same maker that made my break cue. I had him use the one piece tip and ferrule on that. It jumps ridiculously easy. I'll never get rid of that jump cue.
There is also different types of phenolic and quality of it as well. The one that was on the JJ just seemed to be not that good IMO. Hard to describe, just didnt seem decent, seemed almost thin or not stable. But it was 75, so you get what you pay for. After the tip change on it it was an awesome break cue.
The one my cue maker put on my jump cue though is nice. Very solid looking, feeling and hitting.
