Best,

I knew he was making a dvd before he started posting on Az. I had been fallowing Cj on facebook almost a year before he started regularly posting on Az. He is not being baited, etc.

I'm not saying everybody that posts against CJ's presence is trolling him. All opinions make a discussion board. It's the way they go about it. We can present our take on a subject without trying to piss off the other person.

Best,
Mike

Tap Tap!!! Makes me want to curse in appreciation!!!

This is exactly the situation. We have seen this show before. People who can't even dream of matching the accomplishments of the pro will not hesitate to attack them on the forum to declare their superior intelligence, writing skills, "better" life (according to them), etc....

Guys like CJ live and have lived the life that a lot of people dream of. How many people could say that backers stood ready to fly them into any place in the country to play for big money? Not many.

Oh sure some knockers will say but I was a big deal in my career and my company trusted me to troubleshoot all over the country. Ok, good for you, you were great at your job and we are not knocking it so why are you knocking the pros in theirs?

If AZ was seen as a welcoming place then I am sure there would be more pros participating. They are all active on Facebook. You don't think that they see what's happening here and what has happened and decide it's not worth their time?

Who would put up with all this crap in their own lives? Seriously imagine that in your own life if you were constantly denigrated, knocked, put down, and otherwise harassed what would you do?

Got to hand it to CJ that he has stuck around this long.

I think you put way to much thought into this. And your thought pattern borders on just plain wackadoo. I don't know how simple it could be. Commercial related posts in commercial section. Period! Instructor related threads in the instructor section. Why do you feel the need to get all defensive when someone points out the forum editiquete when someone breaks it? Or are te rules only applicable to those some chose to apply them too?

Ok, so should we start going through the forum to subdivide the threads?

Any thread related to TAR should go where?

How to play this shot threads?

Any thread about equipment should be where?

Let's see a snapshot of the threads now.

Pool and Religion - hmm, possibly NPR but perhaps a new subforum called BPR should be created for this Barely Pool Related

Lookin for Serious Sponsor - perhaps Wanted/For Sale section?

Favorite Sized Table to Play On? - Equipment subform?

St. Patrick's Day Pool Story - Pool Stories subforum?

Brunswick Centennial Ready For action - Equipment subform, possibly marketing subforum, maybe WFS, Gallery? Not sure.

Product Ideas - clearly marketing subforum

New 8 Ball Variants: Deathmatch and Last Stand: New Games Forum absolutely.

And Now, the weekly Ebay BS Cue Story - marketing subforum.

My "new" Anniversary is here - Pool Table Gallery subforum

Funny pic thread: NPR all the way. But it has 11 MILLION views.

Pool Movies - Media subforum

Does SVB speak Filipino? - Ask the Pros subforum? Talk about pros subforum?

What are RAM shots? - THIS is the content that is suitable for the main forum when professionals are not welcome there.

Should I make a pool guide for bar players? - SEE ABOVE

One-Word Thread- huh? Must be a subforum for that.

Bonus Ball - new games subforum

Best Camera for Recording Pool - Streaming Forum

What's the weakest part of your game - "I can't play" subforum.

BTG Table Diagraming Tool - put this useless piece of crap in the Aiming Forum only. ;-)

Day Jobs of the Pros - Talk about Pros subforum.

New Poolhall in Griifith Inidana - obviously marketing subforum.

Strong Arm John - Talk about Pros/Road Players subforum.

Point being that anything can be labeled and stuck in a box. Anything can put be put somewhere that the majority of viewers are unlikely to see it.

Case in point. I ran a Case of the Year contest in January. Kickin Chicken owns an AMAZING Phil Eastwood case. Since he doesn't frequent the Cue and Case Gallery he had no idea that the contest was happening and he was too late to enter his case. He is a frequent participant on the main forum and had it been here with the ability to be discussed then it's possible that he would have seen it. As well others could have entered and also the voting opened up to a far wider audience. I chose NOT to publicize it on the main forum because I was not wanting to take it out of the Cue and Case Gallery as I felt that this is the spot where most of the really hardcore fans of cue and case art hang out.

BUT

If we were not so piegonholed then perhaps cue and case art could gain an even wider following by getting more exposure to the wider audience.

In the real world things with broad exposure get both more acceptance and more criticism. All things offered should be open to both and not put away in little niches which pretty much guarantee that they wither and die.

Sorry for being so wackadoodle. My opinion is much less valuable than yours and yet I feel compelled to share it anyway.

Actually it was you because you don't know how the quoting function works. For example when I just hit the quote button to reply to you here because you have not formatted your original response correctly it appears as if I said what you actually said.

What it SHOULD look like is this.

To which I have already replied with my wackadoo opinion.

Although we may disagree on this, that is pretty darn funny

I am a Super Moderator for the largest Lexus Forum on the web at Clublexus, and have been a mod for many other car forms in the past. The one thing I understand is it doesn't matter where regular members think posts should go. If the administrator and mods don't move or close the post it's because they are okay with what it is about and where it is located. Regular members of a forum have no authority of where they think posts should go. Their opinion doesn't matter. If you don't like it, go create your own forum.

I live in indianapolis / 25 ta 30 years ago Doug Smith & big arm John sent for cj to come to town for some big action with Johnny Archer.......word was out all around the city there was going to be some big action @ bruces poolroom ......... Evry pool player in the city and surounding cities where there to watch these two players lock horns ........ one was a proven world champ >> Johnny Archer << and the other was the most feared road player around @ the time >> Cj Wiley <<.........I watched evry last bit of it evry shot & im going to tell you what i seen was some of the best pool playing ive ever seen & the guy doing all this great shooting was none other than cj Wiley............ He played Johnny 6 sets three sets on the bar box & three sets on the big track Cj won evry set in one of the best shows ive ever seen ..... He made Johnny Archer say uncle  ........ And now this verry same man is on this fourm trying to bring pool back into the light & share some of his wisdom to try to make evryone enjoy this game that we all love Tisk Tisk Tisk >>> Shaking my head <<< I love this site but sometimes some of the threads that pop up amaze me here we have one of the best players to play the game come on here & spend time with us & he has to deal with the banter & utter bs some of these fourm members throw @ him is unreal ...................:(

Greenie to you, sir!

Guys this is a pool site. We have one of the top American players to ever hold a cue posting here on a regular basis. Who cares if he is selling stuff. You think Lee Trevino gets treated this way on a golf forum? Of course not, cause in other sports you couldn't get a legend to spend his free time with us regular folk.

Besides, what would you rather read? discussions about $50 cubes of chalk and how often I change my cue tips?

What he just said!!!
CJ, was and is still a pool champion. No matter what is said about him. The Captain of the USA pool team to boot. Enough said. I like CJ as a person and a great pool player. The game is the teacher.
Many Regards,
Lock N Load.

Yes, those were some fun days.

Johnny Archer and I were just up in Ft. Wayne Indiana the day before and I beat him on the bar table 11/2, 11/3, then gave Tony Ellin (RIP) the 8 Ball and won 11/3.....we then made a game to go to Indianapolis to play the Game your described. After that Johnny Archer came to Dallas and I beat him again on 4/8 Tables AND 4.5/9 tables.

Johnny and I laugh about this (I still think Johnny was a better player overall, he just hadn't found the secret of the TOI yet ;)) and discussed it at the Mosconi Cup. Johnny was a pleasure being around and I learned some things that I have forgotten about heart, will to win and confidence. I haven't had the chance to compete consistently and I miss it, just not enough to play under the situations the players are under now.

I want the Game/Sport to get better and that's why I'm here. If you choose to believe it's to sell DVD's that''s ludicrous, but so is the world at times. I had no intention of making any Videos when I started posting here and I never had any intention of sharing my most valuable techniques.

I guess I could see there was a demand for the truth, the "MEAT", as opposed to the "MILK" of pool instruction. I'm not here to "bottle feed" anyone, I'm serving

Filet Mignon, and if you want 2% milk keep stokin is all I can say, we will still be friends and talk about Golf. 'The Inner Game is the Teacher'

Keep up the great pool related work, Mr. CJ. I love it. Thanks for sharing it with us. You are a champion in the pool world and in the people world as well. Thanks again.

Well said,,,I have no stories,,just a lurker of the forum. And I can not believe that a pro pool player ,,,on a pool web forum,,,gets treated this way.
It's un excusable! I just hope he can overcome it!!
He is one of the few pro's on here,,,and comments more that any,,and is very professional,,even in his posts.
He didn't deserve none of this. Makes me want to not come back to see the BS. The thread should have been removed before it got this far. It is just wrong.
