They added an orange color layer......

They are called Onyx-LTD now, and the 3rd layer up is orange.

I haven't tried the LTD's yet but I will,,,,,,,the black Onyx are the only thing I use on my cues currently.

I tried the original onyx and the height of the leather was a little low for a playing tip. If they made it a layer or two taller it would be a great tip as it played really good, but there just was not much of it there on the original ones.

hmmmm,,,,,,,wonder if the LTD's are taller, more layers?

The old ones suit me fine, as the taller tips (Kamui) are too tall to my liking, used to take a couple layers of at install.
