I used to own that cue and shaft. The shaft is the early type that used much more select wood grain and more careful alignment of the spine than the ones today. When I had it it it was near perfect. this is the one that is really hard to find. If you are looking for one of the early ones, it is not a big deal to take out the current insert and add one to fit a different joint.
Thanks for the added info about the cue Jay. It is a great cue that just needs a wrap put on. The very slight roll out in the butt does not affect the playability of the cue. I think that the shaft is about 12mm at the tip. Very nice hitting shaft.
I should also mention the shaft should work on any 5/16x14 cue. the first few threads are very wide to accommodate the second set of threads on a TJ pin. so your pin would slide in about a 1/4 inch then screw right on.
I hate to say it...But you could probably get a pretty good price on Ebay for that combo. Or.. If your willing to pay shipping both ways..I am willing to put a wrap on it for you. my choice of what I have laying around.
Would a normal piloted 5/16x14 shaft work on the butt? Looking at the design it reminds me of the Pechauer pro series. A normal 5/16/14 shaft would turn to the end of the threads but get stuck on the non-threaded portion under. The 30" shaft you have on the other hand should work fine on a standard 5/16x14 pin butt.
