i bought a new jump break last week, last night at league i noticed the rubber bumper is missing.

u think it came off in the bottom of my case.

i have a 2 by 3 sterling case with the jb interior. if the bumper is down in there how the heck do i get it out ?

Well, that's a good one.

Does this case have the Organic Rebound (bouncy) interior or the regular one?

If it has the bouncy interior my sincere advice is to buy a new bumper. Because this particular interior is sewn at the bottom which means that you will need to take the case apart and the interior out and then work the bumper free.

This is a lot of work if you aren't sure if the bumper is even in there. I think that you should really just buy another bumper and not go through all that.

I think it's unlikely that the bumper is in the case. There really isn't anything grabby in the sleeve that could exert enough pressure to pull one off.

If the interior is not a bouncy one then you can pull the skin off, remove the bottom, take out the foam rubber and see if it's in there. Putting it all back together is easy.

If the bumper is in the case, you might try putting some double-sided tape on the bottom of a butt or dowel and see if you can get the bumper to stick to it well enough to pull it out.

Place a cue butt in the butt sleeve (in the case) and measure the distance from the pin to the top. Then insert the same cue butt in another butt sleeve and measuer the distance to the top. If there is no difference in the measuements, the bumper is not in the bottom of the case.
 
You could also try one of those things used to pick up lost bolts and screws that opens and closes with your thumb kinda like a hypodermic needle .... Just fish around down there.

it is the rebound interior. i know exactly why the bumper came off and the case is not at fault. i was at our local billiard store picking up a few things and asked about the possibility of adding weight to my new break cue i bought last week. he took the bumper off and we saw it does not have a weight bolt in it. evidently he di not ensure the bumper was put back on tight enough.

i played with it sunday night and did not notice the bumper missing. i used it again last night and noticed the bumper missing within 2 minutes of taking it out of the case. it was not anywhere to be found where i was standing so i assumed it fell off in the case.

if it is in the case its just gonna have to stay there. i aint messing up that fantastic interior .

i cant say enough good about this case. i bought it last year at the southern classic and have had no issues at all with it.

this reply is for you and revhigh also to avoid double posts. thanks for the suggestion. i have one of those tools on my work truck.

if it was one of my other cases i would use that tool but i am not taking a chance on one of those prongs poking a hole in the lining of this case. the interior of of this case has jb's plush interior , dont know if you are familiar with those or not.

If it's the bouncy interior make sure you push the measuring device ALL the way down. The case is designed to keep the parts from bottoming out so you will need to push and hold.
