i start off center to edge. then i fall down into the shot either 'thick or thin'. once i am down i look at where the shafts center/or outside edge is aiming. similar to mullen/svb type sighting. very seamless after u use it. what i like is the built in pre shot routine of the cte

That s how it works- with expirience and knowledge you have to create *your own system* which works for you.
The *best system* on earth still needs tons of table time and numerous attemps of try and error to make it repeatable.

...and of course the ability to send whitey from A to B :p

Aiming systems are like a women. You find one you like and you stick with her.Over time you build up the trust, venture somewhere else it could cost you.

I think my wife would bust a pool cue over my head if she read this.
Comparing me to a "what".

I've essentially been doing the same thing lately, especially on longer shots. I find that sometimes using SEE and looking from the shadows to the center, or using Pro1 and trying to align to the A/C spots along with the CTEL, can be difficult, for me at least, to perceive at certain distances and angles.

Because of my working combining the two systems and playing with things, I've found I can almost always just look at and align to the CTEL, which typically gets me looking at the same fixed cue ball as OB edge to A/C or shadow to center, then I can sweep thick or thin and make the ball without an issue. Boosts my confidence, because I've found that if I'm hesitant or unsure about picking up my aim lines, then my shot becomes hesitant or unsure as well, I tend to adjust even when none may be necessary. But if I have a strong sense of being correctly aligned pre-pivot, then I tend to make a strong move to center cue ball and never question or waver from my eventual aim, and the object ball just goes in.
