Top 3 Snooker Matches on Youtube

One other thing about Hendry. This is the first time watching a full match with him, so it's a real treat, but does he always look so depressed when he plays? I understand that players don't like to show any emotion and keep their game face on, but he just looks so damn sad.

That is concentration on the task at hand. :D

Snooker players are generally not animated like pool players, they don't stroke in air for ten minutes before pocketing a 1 ft putt, chalk incessantly, then slam the chalk on the table or use body english.
They also don't usually call there opponent M***** F****** on live TV.

As for Hendry, I was sat with him one evening after he just got beat 10 -0 off Mike Hallet and he was pretty miserable for most of the night :D

Definitely agree about the mannerisms of snooker players, but at the same time, he looks like he wants to jump off a bridge (at least in the match I'm watching now)

I have equal love for pool and snooker. I enjoy the stoic play and the animated play (as long as it's not disrespectful). As long as they are running out or playing beautiful safeties, it doesn't really matter how much emotion they show or don't show.

On another note, I attempted more of a snooker stance today when playing. I actually played really well. There were two major things I noticed.

1. I was actually staying down on every single shot. Maybe because I was down lower? I don't know.

2. Despite having a much longer bridge than my norm, I was able to maintain a high level of accuracy on most of my shots.

Hendry was getting a whoopin from Ronnie so that may have made it worse :D
The biggest issue I have when I swap to 9 ball in the table height, it changes my back arm alignment by raising my elbow, I try to circumvent this by widening my stance to drop my whole body.

I did notice a wider stance and my elbow was raised higher. Never knew there was a height difference between tables.

Yup going from my Riley to a gold crown is probably 2" lower, it's hard on the back if you have your chin on the cue., specially for us older folk

Who's the referee lady? I know I've seen her on other matches, and Mosconi cup as well.

I love her accent when she says "break".
