They won't remember Mark. Haven't you seen the Facebook posts by the players all still touting BB and Daz comment on here. They will be right back in there with BB once they get paid for their lost wages. Then they will be in the same position for the next go around - if there is a next go around.

They will all go to the US Open 9 Ball this year.

They will all be apart of this ABP even though it does nothing for them, excpet do away with free entries for past winners to the US Open 9 ball.

They will all complain that promoters like you that add thousands upon thousands to tournaments and spending hours organizing them don't do enough for the players.

They forget that it was you that pulled the money out of your own pocket to make the Chuck in AZ fiasco right when it was zero responsibilty for you.

Worst spokesmodel aka spokesperson? Is this only for pool or overall, if overall then you have to consider the information minister, Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf aka Baghdad Bob, for Iraq during the initial US invasion.

There are two sides to this;

Nathan is really talented and created more stuff for WBPL than anyone else could probably have.
With the crew they had, they created an exceptional production, and the website is also looking very very good.
Judging from his talent and work, there's no question he is an asset to this industry.


The problem is that Nathan took also a lot of pleasure in explaining to everybody here and on facebook that he was at the center of the biggest thing to happen to the sport, ever.
Explaining as well that nobody in our business had a clue, but that they at WPBL figured it out. They were better than all other promoters, than the sport itself, didn't need the AZB community or any of the traditional games to sell countless hours of their production to networks around the world.


I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong and shown that it is possible in our industry to come up with a product that costs over $1M a season and still can be profitable.


In the meantime, I'm packing to attend Mark's events in Vegas and have my trips arranged for Matchroom events later this year. In my down-to-earth vision of things, this is what the pinnacle of our sport really is today.

Then again, I have no clue about the WPBL master plan. I'll just settle for the small stuff.

its down, i have a monster connection here at my biz partners house, 75 megs down, crazy fast and stable, here in Vegas and it's down. I drove by there today it was 115 so perhaps it just melted....Wow it was hot, I didnt have time to stop by, they were there until 2 i was told. tomaro is another day.....
 
Cool news (hearsay ) that the players were paid tonight. Sad to think the fluffers were paid while everyone else got stiffed or shafted. :)

Long way to go for this to be over. Hopefully the players are paid up to date, at the very least. Everything else will work itself out, eventually

Without fluffers there is no movie. :-)

On the other hand, why worry about it?

If the marquee players got paid first then so what? That's how the game is played in business and pro sports. Those are the players who provide the draw. If they walk then what are you left with?

People LOVE to get up in other people's business. I guess it's the nature of a gossip forum but sometimes it gets a little old.

If I ever get a wild hair up my ass I will put $10,000 in play and let every single decision about how to invest that money be dictated by the forum. Y'all think you know everything about business so collectively you ought to be able to turn my $10k into substantnially more in a short time. Gotta be legal though, I know I can invest it in blow and make a bunch of profit but they won't let me post on AZB from prison.
