How do I find an AZB members screen name,using Real Name or email?

I was approached recently by a guy offering me a case that I had posted,a "Want To Buy" thread for.Actually I was asking for a 1X2 J.W.Hager case with a regular shoulder strap and not the "back pack" style.He contacted me with 4, 2X4 cases all with the back pack style shoulder straps.He was asking $450.00 and only had pics of the back of the 4 cases.
When I asked for more pics showing the front,he said that "he couldn't get them" The pics he sent me were what appeared to be stock photos,probably taken from the internet.I told him I couldn't buy what I couldn't see,and he told me that he would sell them to someone else that was more interested.I told him,that I was interested but I needed pics of the front of the cases.He couldn't get them.So it lead me to believe that he didn't have the cases.Even if a friend had them,he could probably still get pics.I called him a scammer and I said that if he tried to sell them on here,I would "out' him.His reply was,"I'll sue you" Something a scammer would say.IMO
I have his name,and email address and I would like to get his screen name,so I can warn others to be careful.Does anyone know how I can find his screen name using his real name,or email? Please PM here or email, batalarms@juno.com We don't need any more scammers on AZB.

I wouldn't think that's possible unless he included it in one of his posts on the forum. In that case, you could just use the search function. If admin or anyone else started giving out peoples real information on here, that would be a pretty serious privacy issued, IMO.
 
any time you have any doubts dont buy from the person. but always ask for a phone number and call them. this way they are tied to you and you can reach them.

get their name and pay them with paypal from a credit card. then if your merchandise doesnt come you can cancel the payment thru your credit company.

or pay the small fee and have an intermediary make the transaction.

a lot of times you can Google his name or email address and google will bring up a post of theirs. I've done this a few times
 
You've got more time on your hands than I do, why would he give you his real name if it were a scam? If I were a scammer I don't think I would leave myself open like that.

A lot of noble,and somewhat anal.I really don't like being lied to or someone attempting to scam me.Who knows who his next "target" may be?

Scammers really need to learn how to use photoshop.

I don't remember when it happened but someone did get away with selling a picture of a Pechauer cue once. For $400 I think they actually sent a picture of the cue rather than the cue. I forget exactly how they worded it but it was essentially selling a picture of a $1200 Pechauer for $400 or something like that.

Anyway, to answer your question unless someone has used their name or email addy on AZB then you can't find them using those terms. Only one of the admins can see the information a person used to sign up with, which may not be the same as what you have.

BTW I have a 1x2 Hagar I can sell you. I think it has the regular strap. PM me if interested.
