Before I look to see what Ginky does in later posts, this is what I would do.
Bank the 3 past the 4 ball(without making it) and have the cue ball follow to the end rail and sit behind the 6 and 9. Looks to be a pretty easy safe there.

I think that was probably one of two safeties Ginky was considering. The downside to this idea is, it's hard to say where the 3 is going to end-up and not unfathomable to say you could be leaving a jump shot (likely with a jump cue). The other idea is simply feathering the 3 although I can't quite tell from the photo if feathering will get the cue-ball behind the 6/9 while getting the 3 near the side-rail.

I don't think from the angle that you can just hit the 3 thin and go behind the balls, from what I see the safe would be a fuller bank with top right to bank the 3 off the end rail back to the middle of the table, cueball hits about a diamond to 1/2 diamond from the corner pocket and goes behind the 2 balls there.
It may be possible to hit the ball really thin and get that angle, but I think the speed control is better with hitting the 3 1/2 ball or fuller and following the cueball to the rail. That way the 3 also goes uptable a bit.
I just saw another possible safe, if you hit the 3 thin on the left side (from the shooter), you can go 3-4 rails behind the two balls where the 4 is and send the 3 off the side cushion and back down a bit on the other side of the table, kinda crossing the cueball and 3 ball.

Yeah, there are a couple of other multi-rail safeties here. I really enjoy safeties like these but I'd have to be in my home room feeling comfortable.
