Hi, just curious what you guys have experienced as far as turnaround time to get a quote / start an order after filling out the online order form. Not sure what sorta response time I should be expecting to go ahead and get a sketch and start my order.

Time is dependent on if you want fancy tooled, something really customer, or say something plane like a mason case. IMHO the best thing to do is e-mail, John, Karen, or Marcel John's staff member who deals with inquiries.
 
I just placed an order through them. I didn't fill out the form. I just emailed the generic email address and Marcel answered back the next business day. We went back and forth for about a week to get what I wanted and ordered.

What I am ordering is fairly simple. I didn't want any tooling and I was told it would take about 8 weeks to complete from the time I made payment.

The only hold up I had was the time difference between them and the US, but that's no one's fault. I knew that going in.

That being said Marcel was great to work with and very polite. A+ in customer service!!!

He took the time to find the color and print of a piece of leather I wanted and even emailed me to verify it was what I wanted.

From what I have read and researched any wait on a case from them is worth it. I know I'm excited to be getting mine. Only 6 1/2 more weeks!

Well it seems it depends on what you want.

I ordered a custom case back in April, Haven't heard a thing about about start date or seen a sketch. Last I was told is that Marcel was trying to get John to complete the sketch.

I ordered another case in June, a fairly standard case, not much customization. Was contacted within a few days, received a sketch within a few days of payment and was told to expect completion within 11 weeks. Just got a photo of the case in progress and was told they were hoping to complete the case by the end of August.

So the short answer is it depends on what you want it seems.

Gotcha. I'm not looking for anything special, just a tough love with some changes to the pockets and stuff, but no tooling or anything wacky. Ill shoot an email to Marcel and hope to hear back.

JC case

I ordered one similar case to their Ebony case. Marcel was prompt and kept me updated. My quote was 8 weeks and it was delivered in 7.

Cue cases is what John does, his crew is great.
He is a specialists in his profession, he always delivers although sometimes you have to poke at him to remind him of your "iron in the fire" so to speak'
His cases are unique and he puts lots of time and effort to fulfill customers request.
Perhaps this bann has given john time to get his wheels spinning on the next block buster.
