I just looked at the number of people viewing the forums, and it showed 702 people. Then, I added up how many people are viewing each sub-forum, and came up with 518. I don't understand the discrepancy between the two numbers. Can anyone explain it??

While I and others feel the forums have gone downhill some the last few years, it's still the best one available. That being so, and with "media" supposedly such a big thing now-a-days, why are the numbers so small?

One reason might be that many of them are now on Facebook and Twitter. Pros are on there communicating with their thousands of friends every day. Open and private group discussion pages are popping up all the time, also. Even the owners of these forums contribute more to Facebook than they do here. And I don't think a shift back in this direction is going to happen any time soon. It's just the way things are.
