Does anyone know if there is a snooker style bridge head (the kind with a big arch) designed large enough to fit over a pool ball? If so, who's got it?

I think you are talking about a Spider bridge head. Amazon carries them.

That's the design, but its hard to tell from those vague dimensions if it actually fits over a pool ball. I suppose I can call muellers. Thanks for the tip.

I am guessing you mean this one:

Most likely will fit over pool ball aswell, maybe not right up to the "feet" of the rest,
but the front half for sure.
This is around $20.

I have a swan neck, an extended spider, and regulation size pool balls used to come to the definitive answer. 
Both will accommodate pool balls:
The extended spider easily
The swan neck is a rather tight fit
The things are heavy and awkward to use.
I never use them for playing pool.
