According to the PM the seller sent me he uses it for "holding glue spots , tightening loosening and other special things" what ever that means.

You know I just have to say this. I'm not trying to piss on this guy's parade but in over 300 posts not one contributing word to this site. It's all bumps for the for sale adds and one time he asked for a table tech. OK the pool memorabilia has its place but some of these tools Like this strap, center finer, vargas debur tool, norton and kenametal stones, carbide burrs have no place here.. I mean really I've been building and repairing cues for a long time and I have never needed any of these tools in my cue shop. Now that's not to say that I wouldn't use them at my day job as I am a cnc machinist. But never in my cue shop. Any ways that's all I hope everything everyone has a good day.

I've wondered for a while now if anyone else was thinking this very thought! There are any number of other forums around the interweb where these tools could be sold very easily, but a pool cue forum? In the words of Mike Ditka, "Come on man"!

I'll take it. This would be handy for removing a stubborn chuck. Better than pounding on the chuck key, or other foolish means we employ sometimes. PM your PayPal info.

The first time I tried that, I bent the crap out of the tommy-bar and the chuck didn't budge. A strap wrench was the only thing that worked for me.

On my old Southbend, it's a different story. A Long 1/2" drive socket extension does the trick, but the same strap wrench won't budge it.

Also if you have a large bore headstock there is no "wrench" to use as there is no nut behind the chuck like the std. bore headstock. You HAVE to use a strap wrench.

When I when had a Hightower lathe with big bore head stock I just stuck the pin in the indexing head and I still used a Tommy bar. I just tapped the Tommy bar with a rubber mallet right where it went in the hole and it just unscrewed. But anyways you guys can debate this all you want. It still don't make it a cue building tool.
